I worked as the lead web developer for ASOLs flagship enterprise application that was built using JEE with Web Services on the back end and a RIA client based on JSF, Facelets, and JBoss RichFaces. The client application consumed web services, handling large amounts of data while maintaining desktop-like responsiveness. While working at ASOL, I worked with another developer to create the “Information Catcher” application. The app collected information and filled out a form via a natural dialogue between the user and a robot and interactive AJAX forms. At the end of the dialogue, the Java iText library was used to generate a PDF to the browser or securely sent to client sites. The application was built using the Google Web Toolkit (GWT). This is a web links management application that I developed in matter of weeks for an ASOL client the Slovenian government’s tax authority. The application spidered all the links found in the client’s knowledge base, reported those links and facilitated in rectifying the problems. The web application used JSF, JBoss Seam, EJB 3 and open source spidering software. A quick overview of the application can be seen in the portfolio screencast: http://www.riacentric.com/portfolio/

I had planned to migrate the fantasy basketball site that I was running to Adobe Flex. I got around to moving some season and archive statistics and produced the following. But never got around to migrating the whole site. Eventually, I stopped running the site altogether as I got busy with work and life. I designed, developed and ran a fantasy basketball site a few years back. This was a ton of work that included everything from collecting data from daily NBA scores, calculating statistics and scores from that data, configuring the server and back end services and developing and designing the UI. I used very rudimentary combination of JavaBeans on the server, Servlets as controllers and JDBC sprinkled all over JSP pages back then.
